Mulch Layer - GREENMULCH 

Mulching technique with GREENMULCH  is designed to protect crops and soil against atmospheric agents, which can dry the ground, fruit deterioration and rid the earth of useful nutrients, necessary for the development of plants.

We produce 3 types of Mulch - White Black, Black, Gray Black:

• Width: 50 cm - 600 cm
• Length: 100 m - 300 m
• Thickness: 20 mkn - 100 mkn

Places used:

• Strawberry plants;
• Vegetable plants;
• Flowers and berries are widely used in planting plants.

Advantages:

• Considerable increase of ground temperature during the day;
• Allows calorific radiations from the ground into the atmosphere, thus protecting the crop during the night;
• The root is strengthened from the beginning causing the plant to grow faster;
• Weed growth can become more prevalent, and consequently fertilizers and water reserves from the soil are lost.

GREENMULCH Black - White

This film is recommended for those crops requiring high luminosity and less temperature over the root of the plant as the white side of the film reflects solar radiation (60%) providing an extra light contribution.

Properties and Applications

Sotrafilm BN is designed to protect crops against damaging atmospheric agents such as heat and rain, retaining the necessary elements for good development of the crop.

Advantages

• The black face blocks the solar light transmissions, preventing weed growth.
• Gives high yield and earlier crops; the white face reflects solar radiation providing an extra light contribution.
• Avoids possible burning over the plants, reflecting the radiation instead of absorbing it.
• It repels aphids and insects especially when the crop is young.

GREENMULCH Grey - Black

Properties and Applications

Sotrafilm NR is designed to protect crops and soil against damaging atmospheric agents, which can dry the ground, cause crop and fruit deterioration and rid the earth of useful nutrients, necessary for the development of plants.

Advantages

• Black colour blocks solar light transmission, preventing weed growth.
• Gives higher yields, and earlier crops.
• The metallic colour provides homogeny extra photoluminic nutrition for the plant because of its light reflection effect 45% (less than with the Sotrafilm BN).
• Prevents excessive heating of films thus avoiding scorching.
• Repels aphids and insects.
